Targeted Argentine ant management and mitigation

A powerful, proven new approach to Argentine ant control.

Ant Assassin is a highly effective bait-assisted approach designed to draw Argentine ants away from homes, businesses, and other social and non-social areas, all while causing high rates of ant mortality in the area.

A global pest with a massive footprint.

Argentine ants have spread from southern South America to every continent except Antarctica including many oceanic islands. In many invaded regions, connected nests can cooperate across extraordinary distances, forming supercolonies that can span multiple countries and even continents making it difficult to manage with ordinary treatments.

Argentine ants are highly aggressive and listed among the top 100 invasive species in the world. During warm, dry periods, they may search aggressively for moisture and food, bringing them into homes, gardens, businesses, and other areas used by people.

Global distribution

Argentine ants are established across multiple continents and islands through human-assisted spread.

Supercolonies

Separate nests may cooperate rather than fight, allowing infestations to occupy enormous areas.

Environmental pressure

In invaded ecosystems, Argentine ants can displace native ants and disrupt relationships among plants, insects, and animals.

Draw them away all while controlling the problem.

Ant Assassin is designed to attract Argentine ants with bait, draw them away from homes and other social areas, and make ongoing control easier and invasions less noticable while causing high rates of ant mortality.

1

Attract

Use toxic or non-toxic bait to attract Argentine ants to the Ant Assassin system.

2

Distract

Draw ants away from homes, businesses, pet areas, and other social spaces where their activity creates problems.

3

Kill

The base tier effectively kills ants at the treatment site, while advanced tiers are designed to control substantially larger volumes of ants using additional features.

4

Dispose

Dead ants can be easily disposed of, allowing the treatment process to be started again if and when needed.

Designed for drawing ants away from social areas.

The Ant Assassin is a simple but effective multi step, multi featured system. The effectiveness can be increased with additional features, proper placement (especially in areas with high ant traffic), product configuration, and bait. Toxic and non-toxic bait options can be used depending on the preference.

Bait-assisted approach

The basic system, without additional features, is designed around baiting, distraction and confusion using the natural foraging behavior of Argentine ants.

Draw ants away

Ant Assassin is intended to pull ant activity away from homes, businesses, pet areas, and other social spaces meaning while it is working it is creating a more comfortable space for you and the ones you care about.

Multiple control tiers

The base tier provides effective ant control, while additional tiers are being developed for substantially higher-volume ant activity.

Repeatable process

Once dead ants are disposed of, the treatment process can be started over when additional ant activity appears.

Note: I am now currently working to take the next steps toward turning this proven prototype into a viable product for the public. I have recently started the steps for filing a utility patent. Because the process is ongoing, I am purposfully being vague in how the device works to protect the design. I will be able to be more forethcoming about the process in the coming days/weeks.
One idea
Develop a way to get rid of this pest in numbers large enough to make an actual noticable difference.

An idea born from a personal loss.

My name is Sean and I developed Ant Assassin to find a better way to manage Argentine ants than the current conventional methods that just aren't effective enough against the massive numbers that Argentine ants have.

The idea began when our house cat became sick. Over the next few days I noticed she was getting weak and frail and it was difficult for her to eat since ants covered her food every morning, and although they could be killed temporarily, they'd just return the next day in higher numbers than before. She barely ate and sadly passed away a week later.

After losing her, I knew I had to create something that could help mitigate this problem for other people facing similar situations. After a little bit of brainstorming I came up with an ingenious idea to cause high rates of ant mortality quickly.
